Silverlight: Cross browser plugin from Microsoft

Microsoft has released a cross-platform, cross-browser plug-in called Silverlight formerly known as WPF/E. Microsoft states that it is cross browser plugin for next generation of media xperiences and rich Internet applications for the Web. Its a plugin compatible to both Windows and Mac OS for integration of audio and video in major web browsers including IE, Firefox and Safari.


PC Requirements:
* Supported operating systems: Windows Vista and Windows XP Service Pack 2
* Supported browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, Windows Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.8, and Firefox 2.0.x.
* Minimum recommended hardware: Intel Pentium III 450-megahertz (MHz) or faster, equivalent processor 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM

Mac Requirements:
* Supported operating systems: Apple Mac OS X
* Supported browsers: Firefox 1.5.0.8, Firefox 2.0.x, and Apple Safari 2.0.4
* Minimum recommended hardware: Power PC G3 500-MHz or faster processor
