Google Webaccelerator works to speedup your web browsing be fetching the pages faster. I installed in in my system, it sits on top right corner of the browser and tell you how much time you saved. There is also an icon in the system tray which will tell you how much time you saved all over after installing. If you do lot of browsing then i recommend to use this one. Google says that it is designed for broadband users, if you have a dailup it may not work but you can give it a try.

How it works

It works by sending your page requests through Google dedicated servers for Google Web Accelerator traffic.
It stores frequently visited pages in you system and downloads only the changed pages later.
It prefetches certain pages to your computer assuming that you will visit them, may be based on the search behavior.
Managing your Internet connection to reduce delays and compressing data before sending it to your computer.
