Google Picks for you: Stumbleupon Rival

Published on April 18th, 2007   Filed Under Google, Web 2.0

Google released a button for its toolbar, the functionality resembles Stumbleupon. You can install the button from here. It doesn’t support Firefox yet, you can install in Internet Explorer.

Unlike Stumbleupon which shows sites based on user votes, Google Picks for you shows the sites based on the search history of the user. When i clicked on this button it asked to login and showed me a site which i regularly visit, then i clicked on small arrow beside the button there it shows the sites from the search History.

Is Google jealous of the possible eBay deal with Stumbleupon, Techcrunch has a post on this and also checkout GigaOM’s comment
