Outbound Calls from Google Talk coming soon?

Published at May 20, 2007   Filed Under Google, Software, Technology

It appears that Google Talk will have outbound calling feature in the near future if not immediately. The screenshot shown in the picture shows three links “Show dailpad, Call details, Close”, this picture is there in the Google’s presentation available here, look in Google Talk section.

Back in december Girouard Vice President and General Manager of Google’s Enterprise divison hinted about this feature in Google Talk in an interview.

Girouard said that Google Talk, which currently allows users to make VoIP calls (define) among themselves, will be beefed up to integrate with traditional phone systems as well as VoIP offerings from other vendors.

So we can expect this feature in Google Talk any time, this is a much awaited for feature for gtalk. Via
