BlueOrganizer is a firefox add-on from AdaptiveBlue, which allows you browse the web faster and smarter in just a single click. It helps you organize your life online, it understands what is in a page like books, movies, restaurants, etc and then links them to the online tools to make browsing easier.
For example you are on a movie page, just right click on the title it will show you the links to movies at netflix, movies at flixster, videos on youtube, photos on flickr apart from links at popular social bookmarking sites. In just one click you will find the shortcuts for the things you want to do. It also gives artists names and tags, you can click on these names to get the links for artists or related tags.
What can BlueOrganizer do for me?
BlueOrganizer works to help you simplify and organize your life online. Do stuff like this:
- Looking up movies on Amazon? Rent one of them on Netflix instantly.
- Reading an article on iPods? Compare prices on PriceGrabber with one click!
- Create a Jack Johnson station on Pandora.
- Reserve a restaurant on OpenTable right from the restaurant review page.
- Look up a map on google without typing a thing!
- Find out what bloggers are saying about the latest New York Times bestseller.
After you install the Add-on you will see two icons, one folder and one bluemark button right in front of the search bar. When you click the folder it opens in firefox seidebar, it shows the bluemarks, categorized in Blogs, Bookmarks, Electronis, Books, Images, Movies, Music, People, Recipes, Video Games and Videos. On the far left of the bookmarks you will find small confog icon, when you click this you will find shortcuts to things you can do like, buy music, rent a dvd etc.
You can right click on any web page to get the blue menu, it uses the web semantics to get the links to searches, most of the times they will appear instantly. You can bluemark any webpage you are visiting with one click blue menu icon. If you are lazy like me you can configure the extension to add bookmarks automatically when you visit a page certain no times. It will also add the web pages you submit to social bookmarking sites like digg, del.icio.us as bookmarks.
You can also import/export bluemarks to a directory to send it to friend or add your friends collection. You can generate an RSS feed of your items or create a widget for your Myspace pages or for blogs.
The interface of the BluOrganizer is simple and quite easy to use. This simple Add-on will make your browsing faster and smarter. You can find the right information from the junk of useless stuff quite easily.
