Google Video Now a Video Search Engine

Published at June 14, 2007   Filed Under Video

Google Video finally turned in to a video search engine, now it shows a frame similar to image results when you click on a search result. Google video now searches all major video sites like YouTube, Metacafe, vimeo.com, Yahoo video etc.

The frame above the video lets you rate the videos, share them with friends and browse through related videos. Naturally google wants you to spend more time on its video site by giving related videos share video features. You can collapse the frame by clicking collapse frame link.

It appears to me that Google don’t want to leave any search space, it wants to dominate wherever it can. Blinkx is another video search engine operating in this space.
