MySpace TV Looks Like A YouTube Clone

Published at June 28, 2007   Filed Under Video

MySpace Launched its video sharing network MySpace TV. It appears to me that they have copied most of the features from Youtube. It would have been better if they design the site with a unique look and feel.

Mashable did a nice comparison of the two sites and came with 12 similarities. The most prominent things you will notice on your first visit are

  • Tabs are identical only difference Home tab on the left and a MyVideos tab on the right.
  • Upload Video button position and styling.
  • Subscribe button same place
  • Director videos column in Youtube becomes featured videos in Myspace TV.

  1. That’s just trifflin’. But you know what - You look at the design of MySpace now, and let’s be honest, it started out crappy and pretty much still is the same crap. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised they couldn’t come up with anything original.
  2. @Bush
    agreed.
  3. Since you tube is the most famous online TV, most of the new comers will try to have the best features of You Tube
  4. That’s hilarious. Only MySpace, the most overrated social networking site in the world, would go the cheap route. I hate that site.
