Update: The author of the blog promptly removed the post and he said he don`t know about how to reference the links to other blogs posts as he is new to blogging. In response to his prompt action i am altering the post.
Two weeks back i wrote a post on Top 20 wordpress plugins i am using, the post became popular and getting lot of hits. It became the 2nd most popular post on my blog. Today i came to know that some one copied the post and published it as it is with out changing anything. (see it here).

I am still learning how to post links to other posts and so I quickly posted it up with full intent to remember where I got the post from and sort it out. All of this including the authors response to me happened within 4hrs.
You are welcome to poke fun at the newbie but I hope you can also be willing to accept an apology.

Thanks for your comment, there is no intention to make fun of you. I realised that it happened and posted immediately.
i replied to your email, you can`t replicate the entire post, if you like it you would have made your own post with excerpts from my original post.
I would request you to remove the post.
Thanks

Although my intent was to show Ram’s work and put a link to his site I think I made three mistakes last night let me outline them and then ask for feedback “to avoid future plagiarism” as a lesson for others!
1. I posted the ‘whole’ post - WRONG
2. I posted with the intention of adding more of an introduction including the link later - WRONG
3. I thought no one was reading my posts so posting live instead of draft would be OK - WRONG
Can someone advise me what should have been the protocol for drawing attention to Ram’s post so that he and I got legitimate traffic and Ram got the kudos.
Do I just place a little into and a link to his post in mine and thats sufficient for Ram to gain click through traffic?
Are trackbacks the way to go? I’ve only found a few tutorials and they seem to be a lot of work to setup on each post.
Thoughts!?

What you could do here is write some intro on importance of plugins and at the end give a link to Ram’s post. Giving him a trackback which in a way useful for you too bcoz your tackback link will be displayed on his post page whihc will give you some traffic
