Zoho Writer Goes Offline
Published on August 21st, 2007 Filed Under Software
Zoho writer, the online word processor now supports offline functionality. This new version includes offline viewing of the documents and comments.
To use this feature you need to install first Google Gears and then click on the ‘go offline’ link in the Zoho writer, it will download the documents to your computer. Whenever you want to go online click on the link ‘go online’. Currently Zoho writer offline is read only, but offline editing is possible in next few weeks. Zoho will add offline functionality to other tools in the coming weeks.
It is interesting to note that Zoho added offline feature using Google technology but Google has not added this feature till now. Zoho directly competes with Google Docs. With all these options available what do you think, you still purchase Microsoft Office?.
