Meebo added a much awaited new feature “File Transfer” to its IM service. Yahoo IM, Gtalk and others have this feature but it is only possible to transfer files between the users of the same IM, with meebo IM you can transfer files between other IM users. This feature is going to be an advantage for meebo.
To transfer files click on the new icon on your IM window and upload a file, receiver will get a link and he has to click and accept to get the file.

This is a good feature to be added. Sharing files is an important option in most of the IM clients

Yes this is an important feature and missing in other web based IM’s
Thanks for the heads up on this! I thought it would never come on meebo! Its another life saving feature that keeps you in touch with files especially at work when the IT guy has fun blocking every other IM channel!

Meebo is my only way to access Yahoo IM at work.
