Why must you accept the order imposed on you by the search engine? Why can’t you list SERPs by: date last modified, reverse rank order!!, URL order?!! Why doesn’t the search engine allow the user to sort the results using different criteria?!! This is search engine tyranny! I’ve been trying to find out how to list results in different ways! Can you help me?!!

Thank you

@Nirmal, Aseem, Madhur
The results are for our preferences only, but Google may eventually look in to those we never know. Suppose maximum people try to hide a result for a given keyword, then that means that result is not relevant to all the searchers that way Google may improve the results by downgrading that page. This is only my theory, because google will never tell you what they are really doing, if they tell that this will effect search results in general then everyone will jump and try to move their own pages to the top for better rankings.

Will the order in which we rank the result be reported to Google or be saved for our preference only.

I wonder if this will ever effect search results (SERPS) eventually. I doubt it could though since any person could then manipulate the results and then what would be the point of the Google algorithm.

I'm not sure if I would care about this feature that much though, when I perform a search, I'm usually counting on Google to give me the results in the best order, not me.

Interesting feature, but then logining in each time is a big problem, but then there are no other ways to save your preference.
