uvLayer is a new Adobe AIR application that allows you to watch and share videos with your friends. It is a nice way to watch videos on your desktop if you prefer that. uvLayer lets share the videos you are watching with your uvLayer friends or Facebook friends.

User interface of the application is visually appealing, you can arrange the videos the way you want on the application dashboard. You can share these videos with friends by drag and drop feature, just drop the videos on their profile pic, these video will appear on their dashboard. You can also send a list of your videos to your friends. There is a Facebook application available if you want to syndicate these videos to your facebook friends.

While watching video you can rate them, comment on it, see related videos. Videos can be searched with keywords or by entering youtube video URL. The videos are immediately appear on your dashboard, uvLayer can find related videos based on your choices.

uvLayer is available currently for Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X 10.4 or later. You need Adobe AIR platform to use this app, you can download AIR from here. Now it only supports Facebook for sharing but in the future it is possible to share videos in other places.
