How it works

Think of Videoraptor as your personal media search engine, it will search popular web sites and show the results from various sites, you can select the music or videos you want to download. Not only downloading it can also convert videos to your preferred format so that you can transfer these files to other devices. By default it searches videos & MP3s, but you change that if you are only interested in either Videos or MP3s. You can use keywords like artist name, song title.

The search results are organized well with ratings and the information of the original site along with the track. You can double click on any track to download it to your computer. if you wish to change the format of the track, then first set the conversion format.

The downloaded files appear in the right side of the app, you can play the clips with its integrated video player. You can burn CD with the tracks you downloads, create a ring tone for your mobile.

Surf & Catch

Not only as a desktop app but it can also be useful when you are surfing on YouTube or Last.fm. It works only with Internet Explorer,i wish that they add Firefox support in later versions. Supported sites for music files include Last.fm, Pandora and Soundclick. Supported video sites include ClipFish, Dailymotion, Godtube, Google Video, Metacafe, Myspace, Myvideo, Onlineglotze.tv, ROFL, RTL and Youtube. It also supports some adult video sites.

Other features include support for syncing with portable devices like MP3, MP4 players, iPod, iPhone, mobiles and PDAs. Tag editor for viewing and editing ID3 tags, Mp3 organizer to sort and filter play lists.

Overall this is a great app for downloading and playing music and videos from the internet. Currently it only supports IE it would be good if they can add support to other browsers for catching videos and music.
