Rapidshare is the popular and largest file sharing site with millions of files on its servers. But it lacks the basic search for finding the desired files. Unless you know the destination of the file you can’t download it. There are a ton of search engines on the internet which offer rapidshare search. Most of these rapidshare search engine services are based on custom google search engines. Some of the search engines are good for searching rapidshare files, i have listed the sites below.
Rapid Search Engine: You can search all the web or only their database to get the results. Database search is fast. Offers email updates. Link checker available.
RapidShare1: Basic search engine with Search box. No additional features.
TVPHP: Search is fast and the results are good. Shows the file size where available. Shows related tags and top tags, quite useful to narrow down the results.
RapidShareIndex: It works like a database, files are organized in categories. Categories shows top 10 lists, recently viewed files and recently added files.
Rapidshare Searcher: Basic search engine with a search box. Search is fast, results are good. Shows most popular tags.
OneClickFiles: Search can be categorized with pre defined categories. Results open in a separate page where the file links are arranged, shows related links. Front page shows 5 results for each category.
RapidSearch.in: Basic search engine, it also searches other sites, you can restrict search to only rapidshare or others. Shows a tag cloud.
FilesBot: Basic search engine, shows results from other sites also.
Filez: Basic search engine. Full of NSFW links, take care while clicking the links.
MegaDownload: Searches both rapidshare and megaupload. Results are good, shows the file size, offers related search links.

One of the best I’ve used is http://www.rapidsharesearch.co.uk – dead links are pruned every hour and it’s not the usual ‘Powered by Google’ sponsored results that anyone can find using, err Google!

Hi, i found yesterday very usefull search engine. In this place 4rapidsearch.com you can here find lot of file from: mediafire, sendspace, 4shared, badongo, rapidshare.

a quite innovative rapidshare search engine: http://www.checkedsearch.com – instead of just displaying random results, it checks the rapidlinks first and saves time. although the search engine takes some time to display results, they have a quite high quality from my experience => results mostly found on first page

Amazing, of all of these sites, only one of those still up, managed to find anything at all related to my search and that was only parts of the whole. Unfoptunately, the links the ‘right’ search gave all returned a file not available error in Rapidshare. BTW, this wasn’t an obscure search but a series of files that I had actually uploaded yesterday that only differed in name by a series number.
I am using http://www.rapidshareget.com, it is simple, user friendly and also very good.
