Rumor: BlackBerry 10.2.1 includes Google Play Store support

BlackBerry OS including support for Google Play Store is something we didn’t expect from BB anytime soon. BlackBerry is working on the next version of its BB 10 operating system, according to a set of leaked pictures, BlackBerry OS version 10.2.1 includes support for Google Play Store. There is no official confirmation of this at this moment.

A CrackBerry user has posted a set of pictures showing Google Play Store running on BB Z10. BlackBerry is including Android runtime in the next version of the OS, that allows users to run Android applications on BB. No more side loading of apps now and instantly thousands of Android apps are at users disposal.

This more might persuade some users who like BlackBerry but put off by the fact that it lacks applications compared to iPhone or Android. But don’t get too excited at the moment as this is just a rumor and the screenshots might be faked as well. If this is true then we will have more leaks and confirmation in the near future.
