Youtube is the most popular video sharing site, you can find pretty much every kind of video you want, but instead of wasting time browsing the YouTube site you could use an app just for discovering or watching new videos while working on other things. Sprink is a Youtube player for desktop that will allow you to view YouTube videos on your dekstop.
The player is slick with a screen size of around 500px. You can just leave the player in a corner of the desktop and do your work. While this is a nice feature it is also annoying sometime, the player is always on top and there is no way to minimize when you want, you have to close it.
You can search for videos right from the sprink app, you will get the results in list view or in a CoverFlow style. The coverflow is a bit rough at the moment, and the memory footprint is around 64MB, but remember this is a preview release.
Sprink is only available for Windows Vista SP1 and Windows 7 build 7000 – Build 7106 as a standalone player. Windows XP users are not lucky at this time, if you are using Windows Vista SP2 RTM builds check out the comments at the developer site some users are reporting problems.
