BitLet is a browser based Java applet that allows you to download torrents with out any BitTorrent clients installed. BitLet recently added the ability to stream Video from .torrent files.
The video streaming feature is experimental for now, and allows users to stream using BitTorrent, users can start watching the video while it is downloading. You can test the service with few video examples provided at BitLet Video.
For Video streaming of torrents to work optimally you need to quality seeds/peers like normal torrent files, otherwise the video experience may not be smooth. Currently it is working perfect, it all depends on the quality of the incoming connections.
BitLet also does music streaming in the browser, it allows you to listen to mp3 and ogg vorbis torrent files in the browser.
BitLet is very useful for downloading torrents with out needing to install a BitTorrent client, and the video streaming is quite good if you are a regular movie freak who downloads files from torrents. You don’t need to wait for hours to finish the download process.
