YouTube today released a new interface designed to watch YouTube videos on large screens like TVs called YouTube XL. YouTube XL works with TVs hooked up with computers, you can also watch videos using game consoles like PS3 or Nitendo Wii.
YouTube XL is basically a clean UI design with Ajax and boring colors, the screen size matches with the screen automatically. The interface is simple, there are no comments, ads and other extras just the player and videos bar.
You can access spotlight videos, top rated and most viewed videos from the menu bars and also you can search for the videos as usual. Settings allows you to put some controls like language, geography and parental controls.
According to cNet although you can access most of the content some premium TV shows and movies are not available as YouTube is working through licensing issues.
YouTube XL works with any device that has browser and can connect to the TV.
