Micromax A116 Canvas HD will be available from Feb 14

Micromax has announced the availability of it’s much awaited Phablet, Micromax A116 Canvas HD on its website www.micromaxinfo.com. According to Micromax it will be available from the Feb 14th onwards. Looks like Micromax is hoping that the device will serve as a great gift for the Valentine’s day. It was announced two weeks back, but the pricing of the device has not yet been revealed, it is expected to carry a price tag that is below 15000 INR.

Micromax-A116-CanvasHD

Micromax Canvas HD has some impressive specs under the hood, and it is much awaited phone from Micromax in recent times. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. It is packed with PowerVR Series5XT GPU and 1GB RAM. On the camera front it has an 8MP rear sensor along with a VGS front camera. Other specifications include GPS with AGPS and GLONASS, 3G, microUSB, Wi-Fi with hotspot and Bluetooth A2DP. If something is lacking in this phone that is internal storage, which is pegged at 4GB, available user memory may be less than that. It comes with 2100mAH battery, whether that is enough for the quad-core device is yet to be seen.

MicromaX A116 Canvas HD runs on Android Jelly Bean with some modifications from Micromax and will include usual Micromax stuff like Hookup, M!buzz etc. But Micromax is not keen to send software updates to it’s devices, this is one area of concern when buying Micromax phones.
