Microsoft will offer annual subscriptions for Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student edition with Live OneCare for $70/year. Dubbed as Microsoft Equipt, the package will be available from Circuit City stores in the US starting from mid-July.
The software bundle includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Windows Live OneCare security software and Windows Live tools. Windows Live tools are already available as free tools for everyone. Microsoft says that if a new version of this software comes out during your subscription period you will get free upgrades, but you won’t get new office version quite often.
If you buy Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student 2007 from Circuit City you will get for $130 and you can keep it for long. With subscription you pay half the amount but after one year you have to renew your subscription, of course you will get Live OneCare here but i wonder how many are actually using OneCare.
Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student edition can be installed in 3 home computers whether you buy or rent.
