BlackBerry India is the latest one to offer buyback offer to boost sales of its mobile phones. Earlier Apple and Samsung offered similar schemes to woo customers to their smartphones. To improve the sales of Z10 BlackBerry has launched an exchange offer, wherein you can get upto Rs. 11,000 as a cashback if you exchange your old smartphone with a Z10.
BlackBerry introduced its latest smartphone Z10 running BB10 OS in India this February, and priced it at Rs. 43490. The pricing strategy is ambitious and that strategy might have backfired for BB as we can see Z10 is going nowhere with that pricing.
Finally BB has woken up to the reality and introduced a cash back offer similar to Apple and Samsung. Whether this strategy will work for BB or not is another matter and time will tell.
With the offer in place, users who want to trade-in their old smartphone will get a minimum Rs. 3000 and upto Rs. 11000. The discount offer is available through India across 1400 retail outlets. The offer is valid till the end of this month that is 31st July 2013. The list of 17 cities where you can avail this offer includes Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Chandigarh, Chennai, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Pune and Surat.
After availing the discount users can pay the remaining amount in 9 EMIs, the EMI scheme is provided with zero percent interest and zero processing fee on select credit cards.
