GoogleHacks is a simple utility with shortcuts for searching Google for specific file types like mp3 or videos. Google Hacks saves a lot of time by making it easier to search for files, it doesn’t search google but it constructs the search query for you and opens the results in your browser.
What GoogleHacks does is it adds required parameters for searching files in Google, for example searching for mp3s in google you can use a search query like this -inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(.mp3|.wma) “your search string” but it is time consuming to input this search query in Google. With this app you just have to enter search keyword it will add the rest of the query.
Google Hacks supports searching for these file types.

There is one more interesting use of this application, you can use Google as a proxt to open websites in your office, or if some site is blocked in your country. In this case the first method won’t work as it is using old method, the second method works. You could also use this method with out this app if you want to use Google as proxy, see below and change the URL accordingly
