HD-DVD encryption was recracked again before its release. HD-DVD was cracked some months ago after the processing key for the discs was uncovered on the Doom9 message-board. AACS, the Licensing Authority has revokes that key in response to the crack so that new HD-DVD titles would no longer play on older players uness updated to the new version.
HD-DVD crack posted to digg created a community revolt at digg. After that the crack is posted everywhere on the internet, currently the key has been posted to around 1,550,000sites.
The new HD-DVD titles are about to ship on May22, but the new key has already been cracked before it actively patched. Now wait and see what AACS will do.
