Intex to launch smartphone with MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core Processor

Intex has announced today that it will launch a smartphone with MediaTek,s Octa-Core processor MT6592. Intex didn’t specify other details including the name of the smartphone, it will launch the phone this week so we don’t have to wait long to see the phone. Intex phone will become the first smartphone with the MT6592 chip inside, MediaTek says this is the true octa-core chip as all the cores function at the same time unlike other offerings like the Samsung Exynos, where all cores won’t tick at the same time.

The coming smartphone features a 6-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by the MT6592 clocked at 1.7Ghz along with Mali-450GPU. Other specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. It will be just 7mm in thickness. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It packs a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front camera. It is a dual SIM smartphone like previous models from Intex. This is the first octa-core Android smartphone in India.

With the MediaTek’s ‘True’ Octa Core, tasks run concurrently with the use of multiple different cores, resulting in great performance benefits to users. According to MediaTek the processor delivers stable web experiences, runs 3D effects more smoothly and offers superior gaming experience.
