Nokia Music coming to iOS and Android

Nokia Music is coming to iOS and Android according to a report on a Chinese site. Nokia might be eying the rival platforms to increase the market share. It is now new for other companies to launch on rival platforms. Nokia itself is pushing HERE services on other platforms.

After the Nokia merger with Microsoft it is not clear what happens to the Nokia Music service, there are conflicting reports and some believe it will be shut down for good and others think the service will be merged with the Xbox Music service. Despite these rumors Nokia Music is expanding to rival platforms, according to the report Nokia Music will be offered as a HTML5 web app to iOS and Android platforms. HTML5 apps are not as effective as native apps but they server the purpose.

Nokia Music is also launching on Windows 8 PCS as native app according to the report, it works on Windows 8/ 8.1 according to the report. There is no official confirmation of this news, so take this with a grain of salt, for now it is just a rumor.

Nokia Music offers subscription services on Windows Phone and Nokia Asha phones. Users with subscription can download songs and can play them later with out Internet also. Nokia also provides free music subscription on certain Lumia devices for a limited time.
