Protect, Track your Sony Xperia Phone with “my Xperia” app

With the advent of smartphones we are storing lot of personal data on these phones, if you lost your phone that means your personal data is on someone’s hands, in these type of situations security apps and tracking solutions come to the rescue. Keeping this in mind Sony has developed an application for protecting and tracking Xperia phones. The application called “my Xperia” is already done with beta testing and is now being rolled out to everyone. The my Xperia app is a remote security app that will help you protect your Xperia phone, track your stolen Xperia phone and send remote signals.

The app when installed can be used to track your cell phone via myxperia.sonymobile.com. Using the app you can remote wipe data if you lost your phone, you can send an alarm or map the location via web interface.

The rollout started now and will take some time to reach you depending on the region, carrier model etc., the rollout will complete in the next few weeks. The app will be made available for all Sony Xperia smartphones released in 2012/ 2013.
