Microsoft’s new operating system Windows 7 will ship on October 22, 2009. Today Microsoft announced the pricing details for windows 7, interestingly the prices are slightly lower when compared to the Windows Vista prices. Along with the pricing Microsoft is also allowing users to pre-order upgrade packages for half the price in select markets.

Microsoft Security Essentials, a free security software from Microsoft is available for download from today. This is a beta release of the software and the download is capped at 75,000, Microsoft may increase the download limit based on the demand, but if you want try the software download as soon as possible. Microsoft Bing search engine got a lot of buzz, and as i mentioned in my Bing review post it is better than Live search, in fact it looks like a tweaked version of Live search. Anyway like Google and Yahoo Bing also allows you to do special searches for quickly finding things.

Microsoft Bing the (new) search engine from Microsoft is live today for everyone. My first impression is that atleast it is better than the live search, live search really sucks. There are some nice features in Bing, but whether users will stick to it or not is difficult to tell now.

OffiSync is a beta application that allows you to access Google docs from Microsoft Office suite. You can edit documents from MS office and the changes you made will be synced to the online versions of the documents.

Microsoft has released a social networking app designed to connect family and friends in difficult times called Vine. Vine is available as a dashboard application accessible with a windows live ID, it can also be accessed via mobile phones and email.
