Easiest and Fastest Way to Root Some Android Devices with locked and unlocked Boot Loaders (ICS/JB Devices Only, Guide)

There are thousands of Android applications, themes and mods for rooted devices and the XDA Forums are full of custom firmwares and mods for all Android devices. Whether you want an optimized custom firmware or if you want to install mods on your device, you will need to Root your smartphone. There are a lot of methods available for rooting Android smartphones, however, most of these are complicated and time consuming.

A new way is out for rooting SOME Android devices and the method is extremely easy and does everything on its own.  This will work on phones with, both, locked and unlocked bootloaders. You will only need to spend 5 to 10 minutes in order to root the phone. Firstly, here are the devices which are supported: Sony Xperia S, T, U, Sola, Acro S, Ion, Go, Tipo, Tablet S LG P705 and P7510 Xtouch X401 HTC One S, Sensation XL, Evo 3D and Desire S Samsung Galaxy SII Okay, now to the important part. Not me not the developer takes responsibility if anything goes wrong, however, this method is safe and has a backup feature as well. You can download the zip file here. Once downloaded, you NEED to extract all the files to any folder on your PC.

Then, you need to click on RunMe.bat and you can follow the on screen instructions there which are pretty simple including connection your phone and pressing some buttons. For phones, you need to use the Normal Mode and for Tablets, you will need to use the special mode. This will be displayed when you run the Runme.bat file. The script will create a backup first for all devices except for Sony Xperia phones. However, for Sony phones, it will use Sony’s own backup and restore feature on the device. The script will is extremely easy to use and it will tell you what to do when you click on the RunMe.bat file. Also, there is an option for UnRooting for users who want to UnRoot their devices.

The Script is only for ROOTING Android phones and you will have to install CWM Recovery once you Root your device. For users of Sony Ericsson and Sony phones, there is a way to install CWM Recovery in just 2 minutes. Here are the list of supported devices:

You can get the tool here for Windows. You need to run the tool while your phone is connected to your computer and it will do the rest. Make sure that your device is rooted and that USB debugging is checked before using the tool to get CWM Recovery on your device.

Feel free to ask any questions. You can refer to these threads for more information:
