Swipe Telecom and MTV India partnered to launch a phablet in India, called MTV Volt. It is a 6-inch Phablet running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. MTV Volt is a co-branded phone or phablet, it has an in-built TV player that offers on-the-go access to MTV. It is the first phablet in India with 6-inch display, this is priced at Rs. 12999 in India.
MTV Volt is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It comes with a 6-inch display with a resolution of 854 X 480 pixels and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Other specifications include an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3MP front camera, a 3200mAh battery. It is a dual SIM phone and supports GSM+GSM, connectivity options include 3G, GPS, micro USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.

With features that address their needs and price-point that suits their pockets, we’re confident about MTV VOLT by Swipe, to generate a great response,” Sandeep Dahiya, senior vice president and business head – consumer products – Viacom18, said.
This is the first device from the partnership between MTV India and Swipe Telecom, in the span of two years many other devices will come to light through this partnership. MTV Volt will go on sale in India soon, it is priced at INR 12999.
