Huawei launches Ascend Y210D Android phone for Rs. 4999

Huawei has launched a new entry level Android phone targeting the first time smartphone buyers, Ascend Y210D. It is priced competitively at Rs. 4,999, there are many choices at this range from the likes of Micromax and other brands.

Huawei Ascend Y210D is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread version. It has a 3.5 inch HVGA display at 480 x 320 resolution. It supports dual-SIM cards, GSM+GSM, one SIM slot supports both 3G and 2G, the other supports 2G.

Other specifications include 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 2 megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi with hotspot functionality . According to Huawei Ascend Y210D boots up in five seconds. It will be available in Ceramic white and Phantom Black colors. It is available for purchase from online portals as well as offline stores.

Anand Narang, Marketing Director Huawei Device India said, “To enable internet access for millions of Indian youth, we wanted to offer a compelling mid-range smartphone proposition at an entry level price. Ascend Y210D will help us put a no-compromise first smartphone into the hands of millions of younger Indians in smaller towns and cities”.
