HTC One Max is official with fingerprint sensor, 5.9-inch display and Sense 5.5

HTC has finally made the much rumored phablet HTC One Max today. It is the first phablet from HTC and sports specs similar to the HTC flagship One smartphone. The unique feature of the phone is the fingerprint scanner situated at the back of the device, right below the main camera. It will allow users to unlock the phone with out pin or password.

HTC One Max is similar in design to the HTC One, it features a large 5.9-inch Super LCD3 display with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). It is powered by the 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, along with 2GB  of RAM. It will be available in both 16GB and 32GB variants, there is a micro SD card slot also for expanding the memory upto 64GB. HTC One Max customers will also get 50GB of cloud storage from Google Drive.

There is a 3300mAh battery under the hood for providing juice to the handset, the battery is embedded, there is a cover plus external battery accessory for power users. On the imaging department it comes with the 4 Ultrapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, f/2.0 aperture. There is also a secondary camera on the front with 2.0MP sensor.

HTC One Max is missing Beats Audio, due to the recent split between Beats and HTC, instead it comes with HTC Boom Sound audio. It will run on Android 4.3 operating system skinned with HTC Sense 5.5.

It will be available immediately in Europe and later in Asia, the availability in other regions is not yet clear. Pricing of the phone will be revealed tomorrow.
