Samsung today launched is flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 in India officially as part of the Samsung Galaxy S4 World Tour. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was first unveiled in March this year after several leaks and rumors at an event in new York. It is an upgrade from the Galaxy S III with new features and specifications, but adopts the similar design principle which was criticized widely. Although we know every detail of the phone only thing that is not yet known for the Indian market is the price and processor, whether Indian users will get the Snapdragon powered phone or the Exynos chip one.
Samsung has priced the Galaxy S4 at Rs. 41500 for the 16GB model, there is no news on the 32GB and 64GB model so far. We are getting the Octa-Core Exynos powered Galaxy S4, some of the markets like US will get the Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor powered devices. Samsung said at the launch event that processor varies depending on the market.
The design of the S4 reminds the Galaxy S II and the Note II, it uses the same polycarbonate shell in this flagship also. It runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and brings several new features along with TouchWiz improvements. The features or improvements include S Translator utility, Air Gestures, Air View etc. S4 comes with 9 sensors unline 7 sensors in the S3, it included Temperature and Humidity sensors in this phone.
