Adsense Video ads formats extended

Google Video ad formats now extended to support the 728×90 Leaderboard, 120×600 Skyscraper, and the 160×600 Wide Skyscraper. Previously video ads were enabled only for rectangles and squares. Now publishers using leaderboards and sky scrapers can also be able to show video ads, for this to work publishers should have enabled image ads in the adsense configuration.

Just like before, users will see a play button on these three ad formats when a video ad is available – this play button will appear on the right side of the Leaderboard and in the upper half of the Skyscraper formats. Once a user clicks the play button, the video ad will begin to play within the ad unit.

Is this is going to increase earnings for adsense publishers, not necessarily but these ads may increase the interactivity of the web site. [Via Inside Adsense]
