Xolo announces Q1000 Opus Smartphone with 5-inch Display, Quad Core Processor

Xolo launched another Android handset in its  Q series of smartphones. The latest smartphone Xolo Q1000 Opus is powered by a Broadcom’s latest chipset BCM23550 (Java). Xolo’s earlier phones in this series Q1000 uses a MediaTek’s MT6589 chip and the Q1000s uses the MediaTeK’s MT6589T chip.

The BCM23550 announced this June is a HSPA+ baseband processor with 1.2Ghz Quad Core Cortex A7 architecture. It supports upto 12MP imaging and 1080p video recording and playback. It support HSPA+ speeds along with 33 EDGE capabilities. With this chip Xolo Q1000 Opus allows users to stream content over Wi-Fi and simultaneously share and project HD video, photo and gaming apps on a larger screen with Miracast.

Our upcoming product – XOLO Q1000 OPUS will deliver high-end multimedia experience and GPS/GLONASS search location technology on a large 5 inch screen at an attractive price point”, says Sunil Raina, Business Head at XOLO.

Xolo 1000 Opus will be available by the end of November according to Xolo. So far we don’t know complete specifications of the phone. Pricing of the device is also not known at this point.

  • 4.5-inch LCD screen with 720*1280 pixels resolution (HD)
  • 1.2 GHz Quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor provides superior computing power
  • VideoCore® multimedia support for an immersive multimedia experience
  • GPS/GLONASS, WLAN, MEMs and Cell ID for the best indoor/outdoor location
  • Dual HD display support with 720p LCD and external HD panel via Wi-Fi Miracast-capable displays
