Swipe MTV launched Slash tablet for Rs. 9,490 with 3G calling

Swipe and MTV partnered earlier to launch devices for youth, last month they launched the MTV Volt 1000 phablet, and now they launched a new tablet called Slash tablet continuing their partnership. The tablet is a 7-inch one and supports voice calling, it is priced at Rs. 9,490. It is not yet available from the brick and mortar store but you can get it online from Snapdeal.com.

The tablet features a 7-inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Dual core processor with 1GB RAM. It runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It has dual SIM Card slots and dual standby, it supports both 2G and 3G.

It comes with 4GB of on board memory with an expansion slot that supports TF card upto 32GB. On the imaging front it packs a 5megapixel rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood, which may not be sufficient for a 3G calling tablet with 7-inch screen.

Connectivity options on the MTV Slash tablet includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G, USB etc. The dimensions of the ablet are 188 x 108 x 9.4mm and it weighs around 290gms.
