Display:  All three phones compared here have the same size, resolution and same screen all over. Only difference is that you will get Corning Gorilla Glass protection with Canvas 4.

Dimensions  are also same for these phones as these phones share great deal of components and internals.

Processor: All are powered by the MediaTek Quad Core processor. Canvas HD and Canvas 4 comes with MT6589, while Canvas Magnus comes with Turbo version of the same processor called MT6589T.

Memory: Canvas 4 will come with 16GB of internal memory, both Canvas HS Canvas Magnus come with 4GB of ROM. RAM is same in all these devices at 1GB.

Software: All use Android Jelly Bean operating system. Micromax promised to provide updates, so it doesn’t matter minor variations. But in terms of Micromax’s own customizations Canvas 4 offers some unique or not so useful features depending on your perspective, these features list includes Blow to unlock, video pinning to home screen and gesture controls. How useful these features in real life usage is up for debate, take a call depending on your usage.

Performance: All these phones use more or less the same processor, except Magnus where MT6589T turbo processor is used. These phones have the same battery at 2000mAh, but Canvas 4 with some software tweaks might consume more battery than that the other two. We already compared Canvas HD and Canvas 4 and the big differentiation there is the software and Camera. Now if you look at the Canvas 4 and Canvas Magnus the processor is slightly different that might lead to better performance but may not be noticeable in real life situations.

Camera: This is one feature that is different in these phones. Canvas HD has 8MP camera, Canvas 4 has 13MP camera and Canvas Magnus has 12MP camera. We don’t think that 1MP difference between Canvas 4 and Canvas Magnus will make any difference. But if you look at Canvas HD yes that is 8MP only and it might show some differences in quality of the photographs. But Micromax is not known for its imaging capabilities.

Conclusion: Canvas HD is quite an old phone with some dated specs so we don’t recommend that now. But if you want to choose between Canvas 4 and Canvas Magnus A117, look at the processor, camera and software and decide yourself. Hardware specs wise both are similar phones, only difference is in the Software, if you want those blow to unlock and gesture controls you can go for the Canvas 4 otherwise Canvas Magnus is a good choice and is ?2000 cheaper than the Canvas 4.

If you want something more just wait for few more days and we might have Canvas Turbo A250 with full HD display in the market.

In the conclusion para, you mentioned “Hardware specs wise both are similar phones” whereas Canvas 4 has 1.2 Ghz processor and Magnus has 1.5 GHz processor. It is a big difference considering the available variety.
