Google Play Store in tablets now show apps designed for tablets

Today Google Play is rolling out a Play Store optimized for tablets, the changes are announced earlier and they are rolling out widely. According to Google, now if you open Google Play Store form tablet you will see Designed for tablets sections as the default view in top lists, this view highlights the apps and games designed for tablets to take advantage of the bigger tablet screen.

If they want tablet users can switch view to see all the apps and games from the Play Store. Apps and Games that do not meet the criteria “Designed for tablets” are pushed to “Designed for phones”, these apps and games are also available for tablet users.

For Developers who want to include their apps and games in the Designed for tablets view can go their developer console and check your tablet optimization tips, make sure you meet all the criteria. If something is missing then you need address those issues and resubmit your binaries with those changes included to be considered for the Designed for tablets section.
