Celkon S1 with 5-inch 1080p display launched for Rs 14999

Celkon has launched a new Android handset called S1 with decent hardware specifications in the Indian market. The new Celkon S1 comes with a Full HD display and is priced at Rs 14,999. Like any budget brand handset this is also a dual SIM handset running Android.

Celkon S1 features a 5-inch full HD display screen (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution). It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, we don’t know the make of the processor. It comes with 1GB of RAM under the hood and has 16GB of internal storage, there is no word on expandable storage.

It runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, 2300mAh battery under the hood for providing jucie. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB, dual SIM, GPS etc.

It is priced at Rs 14999 and will go on sale in the next few days. It will compete with several devices from Micromax and Karbonn and other in the same price segment.
