Lava Iris 550Q with 5.5-inch display launched at Rs 13000

Lava mobiles has launched a new handset in its Iris series of smartphones, the new phone called Iris 550Q comes with a 5.5-inch screen that is why the name 550Q. Lava has priced this smartphone at Rs 13,000, and according to Lava it should be available by now, though exact release date is not yet known.

Lava Iris 550Q comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and it is a dual SIM variant like many other budget Android devices. It features a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280  720 pixels) resolution, it uses one glass solution (OGS) for the display. It is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is pegged at 4GB along with a micro SD card slot for supporting upto 32GB of memory expansion.

Other specifications of Iris 550Q include an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, it also comes with a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Usual connectivity options include BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, micro USB, Dual SIM,. It comes with a 2600mAh battery under the hood for providing juice.

It will be available in sores starting this month, it seems this phone will be available in Black color only. Lava claims that it will receive Android updates via over the air (OTA)
