Bharti Airtel enters into mobile advertising

India’s telecom giant Bharti Airtel entered into mobile advertising market. Through m-Advertising platform of Airtel, it will equip advertisers to connect with their potential customers in a more personalized way. The advertising platform offers advertisers tools for campaign management, reporting, inventory management and analytics.

Through the m-Ads platform advertises can connect with their customers through mobile internet (WAP), messages and through Airtel digital TV. India’s mobile ad market is valued at 100 crore currently and it is expected to grow to 144 crore by 2013, according to a report.

K Srinivas, Bharti Airtel’s president for consumer business, said, “With the mobile advertising market poised to grow by more than 40 per cent over the next few years, Airtel is geared up to leverage this growing medium. Airtel’s m-advertising platform will enable advertisers to land their messages in a simple, effective manner in an increasingly complex media environment.”

“Personalisation, sharp segmentation and contextualisation are increasingly making this platform exciting proposition for brands,” Srinivas said.
