Facebook wants itself to be everywhere, it is pushing plugins or features for websites including Facebook authenticated logins, like buttons and what not. In that push, here comes the news that Facebook has released a plugin for WordPress sites.
Facebook for WordPress plugin enables bloggers to push their blog updates to Facebook more easily from within WordPress dashboard. The plugin allows users to cross-post articles to WordPress blogs as well as users timelines, If you manage Facebook page you can also post to your page timelines. Another interesting feature of the plugin is you can tag your Facebook friends while publishing the post and it can post to their timelines increasing the scope of distributing the content.
Along with the Facebook for WordPress plugin Facebook also introduced widgets for Facebook integration in to WordPress. Widgets include Activity Feed which readers friends activity on the site, Recommendations, which gives personalized recommendations to users on the site, Comment box for enabling Facebook comments on WordPress blogs. The plugin also features automatic SEO support for Facebook Comments according to Facebook to increase search engine visibility.
