Mloovi is an interesting useful tool for bloggers and small publishers, it translates RSS feeds to 24 languages. It does this using Google Translate, so the same languages that are in google translate are supported.
There are translation plugins available for blogs to translate the content, but this is the first one i know which translates RSS feeds. To use the service enter your RSS feed URL and select the language pairs to translate.
Translation is not perfect, but if you have ever used Google translate and found useful then it should be ok for you. It strips down all the images, links and shows only an excerpt of the feed and links back to Google translate page.
Mloovi is useful to access some non-local language news but this may turn out to be a golden opportunity for spammers, they can setup blogs with translated feeds, this way it becomes almost impossible to detect plagiarism. And as this won’t count as duplicate content splogs will benefit from this. What do you think?.

This is using Google translation engine, so the quality of the results is same as google translate i guess. I tried translating to french, results are not very good, of course my french is also not very good.

In theory it sounds a great idea, however, if you don’t speak any of these languages, you won’t know how accurate the translation will be.
If it doesn’t read correctly, then you may put many readers off.
Out of interest have you tried it? If so is it any good?

Ram: Can I ask you how you combat splogs at the moment?
Jeff: I don’t really see how it would readers off if the translations are not quite right, remember these are people who would probably never read your blog anyway. I have been reading lots of blogs translated from Czech since we developed this tool, the translations are not perfect but I can understand what is going on. These blogs now have an extra reader who they wouldn’t have had before.
We are working on functionality which will allow blog owners to ‘claim’ the translated feeds, this would then allow them to make changes to the way it is displayed including adding their own header, removing our adverts and adding their own advertising (for a fee). This will allow blog owners to monetize their new readership.
