Amazon launched its marketplace in India few weeks back. When it launched only Books, Movies and TV shows were sold on the store, later this week Amazon has introduced Mobiles and Cameras, and today they started selling the Kindle Fire HD tablets through the marketplace. Along with Amazon.in they are also available across India through retail outlets including Croma, reliance Digital, E-Zone in cities.
These tablets according to Amazon.in listings are sold by Croma Retail and fulfilled by Amazon. Here due to the FDI regulations in India Amazon can’t sell directly to consumers so that’s why Croma is selling those tablets. You can now buy whole range of kindle tablets including Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HD 8.9, Kindle Paperwhite, Paperwhite 3G.
Kindle Fire HD tablets both HD and HD 8.9 are available as 16GB and 32 GB storage versions. Kindle Fire HD tablets have 7-inch HD display and the HD 8.9 come with 8.9-inch HD display. These tablets use customized version of Android and can access Amazon Appstore for content like Apps, Games and Books.
