Animoto Creates Videos with Your Images

Animoto is a new service that helps you to create videos from your images. Videos are created using images and music you upload to its servers. It is all browser based, you need to turn on Javasript and requires Flash player 9.

You need to register to get started with, once you are in you can either upload your images from your computer or pull from photo sharing sites like Flickr, Smugmug, Facebook etc. You can upload your own music in MP3 format. Once your videos are ready you can share with others by emailing the link or embedding in your blog or social network profiles. One thing to remember is it won’t allow you download your video unless you have a paid account.

How does it makes a video?

Animoto uses patent-pending technology to analyze your images and everything about the selected music — its structure, genre, energy, build, rhythm — before developing a blueprint for the motion design of your video. The remaining time is spent rendering your video, using a giant farm of computer processors to custom-generate 15 new images per second for your final video.

Animoto has both free and paid options, a free account allows you to create videos of 30 sec length where as the paid version ($30/year) allows you to create videos of unlimited length. Via Technobuzz
