Apple may introduce buyback schemes for iPad Air and iPad mini

Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini will start retailing in India from December 7th onwards. Apple’s authorized partner Ingram Micro announced yesterday that the iPad Air Mini will be available in India, they are supposed to be selling by November 29th according to earlier reports but got delayed. Apple unveiled the iPad Air and iPad Mini in October.

iPad Air will be available from Dec 7th starting at Rs. 35,900 and the iPad mini will be available starting with a price of Rs. 28,900. According to a report on ET Apple may offer buyback schemes for the iPad Air and iPad mini in India. With the success of previous buyback schemes on iPhone 5C, which offers upto Rs 13000 off in exchange of your old mobile. The buyback offers include exchange on old iPad and tablets, EMI schemes etc.

As part of the promotion Apple may now introduce a sub Rs 20,000 price tag on old iPad mini tablet. Apple is reportedly working with all major mobile retailers to introduce iPads in their stores, allocate space for the model showcase where available and Apple is also appointing in store advisors to help consumers with their iPad purchases.

iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi model will cost Rs. 35,900 in India, official prices for the 32, 64 and 128GB models are not yet announced. The iPad mini will be available with a price tag of Rs. 28,900 for the 16GB model, prices for other models is not yet available.

Both iPad models run on Apple’s A7 chip, iPad Air features a 9.7-inch IPS screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. iPad mini features a 7.9-inch IPS screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution.
