Asus has launched the next generation of Fonepad 7 tablet in India with a price tag of Rs. 17,499. It was originally launched in September this year. This tablet supports voice calling, the updated version supports faster 3G speeds.
Fonepad 7 is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 7-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x800 pixels. It has dual front speakers with Asus SonicMaster audio technology which outputs high-quality sound.
It weighs 370gms and has 10.5mm thickness. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and full HD video recording. It also comes with a 1.2MP front camera. It packs a 3950mAh battery under the hood, which gives 28 hours of 3G talk time according to Asus.
Fonepad 7 will come with 16GB internal storage with a micro SDHC card slot. Asus also provides 5GB of Asus Cloud storage. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Asus specific apps are also included, for example the floating app allows users to open six apps simultaneously for multi tasking, SuperNote app lets users create draft notes by adding images videos etc.
It is priced at ?17,499 in India and it will be available in retail stores from November onwards.
