Update: Apple has announced the buyback scheme and it is now available widely.
If you are thinking to replace your old iPhone 4 for a brand new iPhone 5C, here is the good news. Retailers have started offering a buyback scheme for iPhone 5C in India, under the scheme you can exchange your old iPhone 4 and get Rs. 12,000 back.
Vijay Sales, Pune is currently offering this scheme but we are not sure if others are doing the same. It is also not clear whether the exchange offer launched by Vijay Sales is their own or Apple approved. Vijay Sales twitter account tweets that users can buy iPhone at Rs. 29,000 by exchanging iPhone 4 in working condition along with the charger. The iPhone 5C is retailing at Rs. 41900 with out offer.
This is great for the current iPhone 4 users as the phone is now outdated and discontinued. Apple earlier offered a buyback scheme which became successful, later Samsung, BlackBerry also offered such BuyBack schemes. Quite recently Nokia is offering a buyback scheme for its Lumia devices.
