Facebook 6.0 for iOS brings Chat Heads to iPhone, iPad

Facebook has updated it’s iOS app with new exciting features. If you have seen Facebook Home debut last week on Android, the only useful feature in Facebook Home as of now is the Facebook Chat Heads. That feature made its way to iOS, the updated Facebook app for iOS, version 6.0 brings this feature along with stickers and more.

Facebook Chat Heads is a feature that pops up faces with messages as an overlay on top of the screen. You can pop-out chat heads on the Facebook app but they won’t work anywhere else because of the app sandboxing in iOS. Along with chat heads Facebook also introduced stickers in the app, these are similar to emoticons but larger in size and can be downloaded as packs and send it to others. Right now the stickers packs are free and can be accessed from stickers store by tapping the basket.

Along with these features the app update brings a new UI to the iPad, where you will see brighter and more beautiful stories according to Facebook.

You can download the Facebook app from the Appstore now, but the Chat heads and stickers on the Facebook app for iPhone will be rolled out gradually in the coming weeks.
