Firefox for Android adds Guest browsing, Web Audio API

Mozilla has released Firefox 25 yesterday for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. The latest version for Android brings some new features including a Guest browsing mode. The latest release includes bug fixes and security improvements apart from the new features and updated features.

With the Guest Browsing Mode you can give your phone to your friend or colleague without revealing your personal options and browsing history. In the Guest Browsing Mode Firefox will open a new profile for guests and shields the original profile settings, as soon as the Guest Browsing session is closed Firefox will return to normal state. To open Firefox in Guest Mode tap on “Menu” and then “Tools” and select “New Guest Session”.

Guests can exit the Guest session by going to Menu –> Tools and Exit Guest Session. This is a great feature for those who frequently share their mobile with friends.

Other features that are included in this release include Web Audio API, which enables developers to build advanced games for the browser. According to Mozilla this is better than the current standard Audio Data API and it opens new possibilities for developers.

Mixed content blocking is also implemented in this version to protect users from malicious attacks. Addons can now add indicators to the URL bar. Romanian, Irish and Ukranian locales are added, with these addition Firefox for Android now supports 27 languages worldwide.
