Firefox Beta for Android with improvements to Awesome Bar

Firefox Beta for Android received an update yesterday with new features and optimizations to the awesome bar and awesome screen. The latest update makes the awesome bar to hide automatically when not in use to make more out of the small screen. You can always pull back the awesome bar from the top of the screen for entering URL or fro searching.

The awesome bar now autocompletes the domain names while typing bringing the auto complete feature to the Android, Mozilla on its blog notes that Firefox Beta is the only browser that supports autocomplete currently. The switch to tab function will allow you to switch quickly to a open tab from your awesome screen.

It also includes an updated feed reader, you can subscribe to RSS feeds in My Yahoo and Google Reader according to Mozilla. But Google Reader is hutting down by Monday and My Yahoo is not widely used as a feed reader anyway. If you go to any web page with discoverable RSS feed you can long press on the awesome bar to subscribe to that feed.

The latest update also adds support for Turkish and Hungarian locales that brings the Firefox for Android app to more than 20 languages worldwide.
